A work that defies the hegemony of the visual sense in the creation and reception of images. What synesthetic effects can they arouse?
After looking at a corpus of European and contemporary theoretical essays and famous images, a series of images are produced. These images explore the bridges between vision and the other senses.
Born from the final bachelor’s project at the American University of Beirut (AUB), this book was shaped under the thoughtful guidance of Reza Abedini, mentor of the project.
The book’s photographs were realized with the artistic partnership of Omar Ramadan.
Autofiction in prose that relates my process of creation. It expands on two layers; the first narrative gives a voice to a still consciousness contemplating its room. Buried voices emerge from objects scattered in its surroundings. The second layer explores these voices.
Book created and written as part of the DNSEP thesis at HEAR. It is not commercially distributed but is available for consultation at the Manufacture des Tabacs library.
It has been presented in several exhibitions, including Les À‑Côtés, Bibliothèque Parasite at the Médiathèque André Malraux, during the HEAR-Here and Now graduation weekend at HEAR, and in the exhibition Toucher, Écouter, Habiter at Maison Rose.
Book which narrates a Monday.
Installation of collections of objects. They are called ‘shreds’. Each shred focuses on a chapter in the house. They find their places in the room according to its character and specificities. The curation allows for the propensity of objects to spontaneously draw the contours of a home.
